Anyone know the story behind the front half of a longboard that is mounted upright on the rocks right at the point?

I'm just curious as it's been there for several weeks (at least).

Mullaloo Point, bigger waves from the Rotto Ferry.

Maybe someone is trying to call on the surf gods...

I think it is a memorial for someone who has died and loved to surf there.
