Hi guys,

I have a firewire tomo vanguard which runs the fcs fusion fin system. I bought it second hand, and I enjoy the board, however I have always struggled with some of the fin boxes, which seem to constantly leak through hairline cracks. This seems to be a common problem with these boards / this fin system (see e.g. www.swaylocks.com/forums/problems-fcs-fusion-plugs). I've had a few goes at re-glassing them, but the resin seems to never stick nor properly do the job, and water seems to still find its way in.

Considering that I always run the same fin setup (FCS PC7 quads), I'm toying with the idea of putting those fins in and then glassing around the bases / plugs to seal the whole system (not with cloth, just with resin).

Does anyone have any opinions? Are there any things I should note when doing this (obviously, I know it's a one way street and I won't be getting the fins back).

Cheers in advance
