wax comb and a bit of sunshine, or hair dryer to melt it a bit.. it gets messier of course when its soft but more comes off..

Some carefully placed explosives should dislodge any troublesome wax.

after getting rid of the majority of the wax, spray on DISSOLVIT hand cleaner to remove the remaining wax. This works and smells identical to the stuff you buy in surf shops for this purpose.

ummm....wouldn't do that if I were you. The hot, even warm water just may lift the glass on your board.
Suggest " WAX OFF " It's a really good product available from Murray Smith's Surfshop in Scarborough. I'ts a citris based product and is really excellent for removing wax. Enviro freindly too.
I've found that once you've removed old wax and put your first new wax coat on, the best thing to do is to use the wax comb every time you wax up. With the wax comb blade, just take of a small top layer of wax off your board first, then rough it up a bit with the comb part, then apply your wax. This way your booard will have only the necessary amount of wax on it every session and the coats of wax will not build up. cool !!

just scrape your board in hot weather... then go to the beach get sand on the remaining wax (it sticks it together sum how) then start scraping again.

The best most effective way to remove wax from a board is to
1;scrape as much old wax off as you can
2;go to any board factory and ask for any foam dust from the shaping rooms
3;rub foam dust over board(the dust sticks to the wax on the board)
4;to finish either use some acet0one or nial polish remover and give it a finally wipe
5;repair board
6;rewax
7; GO SURFING
i have used this metod for years never had any dramas and never had any damage to the board caused by this wax removal procces
