Anyone done their back before? Went over the falls on the weekend and the wave hyperflexed my back and I got slammed into the sand in the 'splits' position. Decent waves so stayed out for another hour or so. Was stupid enough to go for a paddle yesterday until the back pain kicked in and am paying for it right now.
I guess it's really sore and I'm able to still move around etc but with pain (I am used to it from previous injuries so can tell it's not major but not minor either). Getting up and down when seated is the hardest. Anyone can put a time length to it healing?
Won't be surfing for a week I think. Although gives me time to go see a shaper and get my first locally shaped board! Unfortunately as the wife minding the store said, her husband was out 'working' and 'testing' equipment and won't be back in til lunch and if the swell is good, a bit later. I had a good laugh about that, gotta love surfers haha ![]()
Depends I guess on what the dammage is. If its muscular I would say a week, but get to a doc quick smart as there could be other dammage.
Cheers Dogman, hows the new board going? Will we be seeing you busting out a few airs some time soon? ![]()
I'm still in recovery after some **** wit dropped in on me on the first wave on the first use on a new board to me Saturday morning(trigg) ,couldn't walk properly for 2 days
He apologized but sometimes sorry isn't good enough!!!!!
Exactly the same as you hurt getting up and down and I still went for surfs and paid for it after
Good news 2 1/2 weeks later 90% fixed
