I have actually been scoring fun waves most mornings for the last couple of weeks. Nothing big but enough fun to put a smile on my dial at work.

I have found that the weather reports can be a little decieving and given how the tides can greatly affect perth's beachies (AND THE BANKS ARE NOT TOO BAD) there is more often than not a wave along the coast in small swell periods.

Not giving any details away publically but there is a couple of good banks at a very popular north metro spot that I have had to myself and a few others most really early mornings. There has been a few days where I have been let down and had to be content with watching the sunrise with a mocha in my hand. Still not a bad way to start the day

I've been looking at the surfcams, it's just pitiful all up and down the coast.

Hey!!! as I was typing I just remembered! isn't crazy canuk on a trip up to Byron??

If he is, I hope the poor bugger finds a wave somewhere.

Right on obct, he will find something in the protected corners north coast.

I don't really know much about the Byron area but I could think of a couple of north end swell magnets just north of the coffs area that could work.

Back beach Woopi and possibly Corindi.

And not getting a wave at Corindi would never be a problem because The Amble Inn is a great place to drown your sorrows
