Come one... let us know!
There's a stack of "hard core" surfers who have dabbled in 666.
Doesn't mean they are taking it up full time!

Most people know that I like to do a little bit of Flat Water & Down Wind SUP... but I would prefer to surf, any day of the week. PT Woody in the SUP forum does about 90% flatwater and is very fast. DJ probably does about 80% cruising and about 20% down winders. But in down wind conditions, the "cameras are on!". So we only see down wind from DJ, in terms of "seen on forums".

So did the guy buy a Down Winder, flat water board, or surfing SUP?

PS - I've had 4 "truth serums" this arvo... and you won't last long in here with "sup" in your avatar! We are actually very welcoming, but there is a mini "line in the sand!". "SUP" in an avatar is akin to having all 10 toes over the line! As opposed to having 10 toes on the nose!

PPS - I think I mentioned 4 truth serums! (4 beers, maybe 6... the first 2 are beers, the next 4 are truth serum!)

Sorry fellas don't know about the hardcore but yep got my 1 St SUP and have now had it out twice , lots of fun . Gives you a real good workout My legs are killing me

But have to admit when the surf came up this afternoon the SUP was put back on the racks and the longboard came out .

mate thats a big effort to go straight out in the surf. most people paddle in the flats first so they can get used to it and well so they don't get so sore in one big hit.

Thanks Lacey

Actually I am sure Bill told me to start in flat water as well but I thought it would be easy , somehere between jumping on a sailboard and longboard . Man I was wrong

Managed To catch a few waves this afternoon . Completely different feel to the Nimbus , but still a lot of fun.
