On Thursday afternoon two longboarders I'd not seen before caught my attention at The Point.

Something very stylish about their manoeuvres but some fast and progressive moves really grabbed me.

I was out surfing Point this morning when I saw the same two paddle out toward Shark Island and given I'd had my fill and was satisfied I rushed home to grab my camera so as to shoot them out there.

In the 15 mins it took, they'd been out, looked and made the call to surf Point so I set up and grabbed these images.

I got talking to one and conversation revealed that his name was Tim, was French, a World Tour LB'er, riding an epoxy Tolhurst and out here for a few months with Mingo.

...his friend was French / West Indian and boy, was thoroughly enjoyable watching them and I'm hoping to share some sessions with them in the coming months.

Hope you like the clip, memories of Point for some no doubt.
