I have this Neal Purchase Jnr. Quartet. 6'6 x 20 1/4 x 2 7/16 flat deck. Closest thing to a 1 board quiver I've had. Had it out in 1ft slop to 6ft and pumping. Too many boards and just bought another so I put it up for sale yesterday. Guys coming to look at it tonight and I'm not even sure I want to let it go.

Also there's a fair bit of overlap with the McNeill 6'10 twin I posted in another thread so I thought one had to go

Dvs or vouch, Jye Byrne's make good fishes too...

Atm. In that range i have a 6'4 wombat mk 2 that doesn't get ridden enough..
And a 6'8 Christenson Nautilus. That I bought for good waves but seem to ride in anything.

Other than that there currently either fishes below 6ft, mids in 7'2 - 7'4 range, or LBs.

Others In recent memory in the length you mentioned.

Had a 6'8 sumo for a while but I guess you aren't talking minimals.

Had a CI msf that was 6'4. Nice board but a bit narrow in the nose for my liking at that length.

Its a size range that goes under the radar. Normally any board i see in the surfs shops that size is a massive hunk of foam for the big boys.
Ive always thought a board in that range would be good for say a medium size fullish currumbin Alley or the like . Without going midlength

Agree, MR used to make some great SB style boards in that length. Had a beautiful 6'8 pintail in my younger days.

Mistyped above my Nautilus is 6'10.

bit of a fan of this style of outline too..

Goddard does a sweet stick called the Dopamine that is similar to that outline.

He could make you a really nice board I'm sure.

Keep it 100% Australian

I have a :

6'6 x 21 x 3 Diamond Tail Stubb Vector from Dave Parmenter
Goes like a rocket
Not great in really small stuff as I had it glassed 6 x 6 x 6

6'10 x 21 x 3 Swallow Tail Gash from Greg Brown

Also goes like a rocket
Goes alright in the smaller stuff
Not as loose as its 6'3 little brother

The challenge is ... some of us big guys need that "massive hunk of foam", so dependent on your physical size, this board size could be a "mid - length" style board ... at 6'3'' and 95kg.... aging, a 6'6" IS a short board in 2-5ft and sloppy and my 6'10 is not a stepup , its my go to in 3-6ft clean
Have currently
6'6'' allrounder with good volume, (wide point forward, round tail)
6'10 HP (wide point central, square tail)
6.6 x 22 x 3 fish .... friggin love this board

My step us is new 7'3" squash round tail HP

cheers
