Your public relations man enjoys talking to friends and acquaintances so so much on the beach.....i am sometimes slightly surprised to see him actually in the water

He used to work at Blitz surf shop as a friendly "welcome to the shop" sales person.......he knows a million zillion people......and can remember their names

Thanks Gizzie I do try and keep up with you NZD gents

Towball was right in the middle of the "holiday weekend good surf frenzy" the last few days with good waves from Cyclone Cook......I am happier to wait until the "surf warriors" have to go back to work

was quite relaxing surfing at a spot near the point where only the really really big waves were breaking
different strokes for different folks of course.....

by Aussi standards that was not crowded three days

Thanks Pup... i did see a couple of early posts when he thought he was on the mend, then I must've lost the plot (story of my life). I hope he's back posting pics of his Indo A-frames and making me seethe with envy again soon.

My only excuse for my defeat (there were only two entrants in the over 60 group)........is that towball has entered quite a few surf contests.......and has a more sophisticated stratagy than my "catch every wave" approach

Lots of surf at town beach today........looked like i was going to get another hammering.......so went back to mak point.......a bit of size .....but no hammering. And only 4 or 5 people out......no crowds.......quite relaxing

At lest you were in the water before it started this time

always remember you sitting down watching your own heat a couple of years back

Okay ......maybe in times past I was standing on the beach......and someone is saying "your heat has started"
but I saw other newbies doing that this year.......can be confusing if you haven't got a clue about what's going on
