Well looks like it's gong to be too big for the longboard so it's midlength time

Any advice on either a Bear Hybrid 8' or Mctavish carver 7'6"?
Given I'm 180cm and 85kg of pure muscle...

Next 4 days will be 6' plus they're telling me so should be fuuurn

The carver is a very versatile board.
I had one years ago and it could surf anything I could throw at it..

The bear could be okay. Speed is your friend so if it has a narrowish nose and pulled in tail it could be good 2.

You probably want something that paddles good too so keep that in mind.

Have fun and remember the motto

Photos or it didn't happen..

And yes pics are great but time taking pics is time or of the water. If it's not too critical I'll try the GoPro in the mouth trick

My surf guide dude at Nusa Lembongon was supposedly shooting me surfing but he'd put the cam into still mode and I I just got a bunch of selfies of him

did shoot some stuff from the boat so I'll check it and post if it's any good

Rolled into Padang Padang, nice lil beach town with a cool vibe and the surf, well overhead and just pumping. Watched one guy casually roll into a massive overhead barrel he probably could have driven a car through.

Right looked a bit funky but should be better mid-tide tomorrow

lovely spot and a good suggestion Mac. Have a crack at Impossibiles on the way down - can get very fun out there but a touch fast !

Yeah, the right is poo poos. Was fun sitting in the channel and watching Padang Padang fire away some solid kegs.

Thinking I'll wait for the swell to drop and hit impossibles end section and maybe dreamland on the higher tide.

Cheers boyz

Sounds awesome...hope the swells stay solid for me next week.

Andy try the East coast, Nusa Dua area if the swells to solid for your board. Try the reefs in front of Club Med Nusa Dua early before the trade wind on mid to high tide.

Impossibles is a beast, you think your taking off on the shoulder and next thing you know your behind it or three dudes are dropping in on the one you do make... Was an experience anyways...

Last day tomorrow and looking to hit dreamlands early

Hahaha, yeah, I had a look at Bingin today and looks an awesome barrel wave, but faaaark me, the crowd!!! I'm guessing there were 100+ on this one tiny peak, wish i'd had the camera for that one was sheer madness and the locals just go, absolutely no etiquette whatsoever
