Surf Poetry - Stupid but you guys might appreciate

OLD MAN SAM

There's old man Sam the wandering man
He's so strange, no one understands
Where is he going? Where has he been?
To the suited folk he's the strangest there's been

No corporate takeovers, No assets acquired
Inside his room, he's got the place wired
No villa, no beemer, no promotion, no phone
Just timeless positioning, soul to the bone

But lifes big decisions sure can be tough
To go left or go right, it can really be rough
Fat waves or hollow, which do I ride?
The suits dream of freedom, chained inside

Knows all about nothing, some about all
Waves, good food, his health and the wall
Good friends, Freedom, ain't life great
Waves all day and greens on his plate

Sam's that guy, found that secret reef
One day by mistake, with a lung full of leaf
Took a wrong turn, thought he was lost
Just kept on going, time has no cost.

Sam's so lucky, has he got it made
Just ask Sam, I don't think he'd trade
Education, experience, the school of life
At one with himself, not the corporate knife

So if you think Sam's crazy, stupid or dumb
Remember the world don't spin to one drum
Do as you wish, and he'll do the same
Forget your fashions, dance naked in the rain

Break free sometime, It feels really good
You know you want to, you'd do it if you could
But the wife, the kids and all of those bills
Doctors appointments and packets of pills

Life's not about headaches, torture and stress
It's about beauty, nature, family and nothing less
Sam's there in all of us, you just gotta let him out
Freedom comes from the inside out.

Thats great CMC did you write it I love stuff like that brings you back to earth. I listen to xavier rudd follow the sun to wind down at least once a day
