Anyone ridden them? Is it true they stick in the pocket more and dont have to back peddle on a wave so much?

Also, anyone got any pics of one? Or a shaper or three who makes them?

They look like a fun board to ride!

As far as I can see, they're strictly for hipsters.

Thanks for the replies guys. I guess I wa after a board that will sit in the pocket without taking off down the line as soon as I am past halfway. Might just try the guy next door to see if he has any really old and heavy logs!

Pig shape looke fun!

I had an old barry bennett pig. It was made in the 60's and was typically heavy . I found it ok to turn with the wide point right back . As old mals go it was OK. Hawaiian Pro Designs (Takayama ) does a pig model that would be far and away better to ride than the old beast I had. I think McTavish does them as well. With either of these board companies you know it isnt going to be cheap. All up a very limited board but they do pivot turn nice.

I am pretty average in terms of skills and when I tried a classic Malibu pig , the word barn door came to mind ..... Perhaps more of a reflection of my skills but I found it very difficult to ride, had to think well ahead to start turns early etc and conditions had to be slow and fat for me to get along on it

May be very different for someone with skills though....

Haha, its not me who post the smut LL, only when weiry, pup and chrispy jack threads and turn them into there own fun!

So, no one is keen on pigs, I reckon they seem cool, although one dimensional kind of surfing, I could imagine nothing better than perching on the nose for ages without speeding down the line. no need to be able to turn.

Anyone got any suggestions on a noserider that I can perch on for miles? Not saying I want to get one, just interested too see what kind of shapes do what

This looks like more of an all-rounder but this cat Munro can shape, the price is right and it's just down the road.
More fun than a pig, Tom.

This beast is 10' and walking on it is easier than walking down the foot path...

Turning the bugger is a different matter
