What ever happened to Gordon Jackson ? I had an off the rack Stewart board from Pacific Dreams a fair while back. I picked it because it looked really good and it went really good as well. Last I heard he moved up north somewhere but not sure if he's still shaping.

Gordon Jackson lives around the corner here from me smh,I could probably throw a rock on his roof,haha.Yep he's still making good boards,my mates here have a few of them.He's trading under GORDO Surfboards and has a bit to do with the longboard club as well

You might want to get one off him one day . The one i had went really good.

Yeah mate,I almost got a 10 footer off him before I got this one off Bob Brown,he's actually cheaper than Browny but I've known Bob for a long time and had a fair few of his boards I just wanted another one off him.Maybe down the track I might get a Gordo.My mates here that have Gordo's really like them,they haven't sold them yet!...

I agree. Just for surfing near rocks and other things it might be handy to have a leggie.

Surfing with a leggie should be mandatory.

Why are Pieter boards almost half the price if not more compared to a Mctavish, Creative Army, Dead Kooks ect. $1,100 easy rider $2,000 + most new mctavish boards and Creative Army boards without and added extras. Just wondering

Because a loose longboard in surf is & poses a significant risk and hazard to others ..which can be minimised by wearing a leggie ....why should others be put at risk because you feel the need not to wear one ...?
Not to wear one is a selfish and an uncaring attitude for others who are enjoying the ocean as we do .
How would you feel if your loose board knocked a child out which resulted in a drowning ..?

All about overheads, I would guess. Rent, staff etc. Pieter boards works from home, like a lot of the other smaller operators. My last two customs were similar prices, from part timers and are great boards, as are the Pieters. Couple of mates have them and love them.

I cant say that i agree.The times that I have been hit by stray boards was by people wearing a legrope and they think its ok to ditch their boards.9 foot of board hanging off 9 feet of legrope means there is a pretty big radius where you can get cleaned up.It seems that wearing a legrope gives the surfer a false sense of security at the expense of those close by.

Years ago my youngest daughter rode a 8 foot board up at Noosa and got a nose of a board in her ear,end result 6 stitchers a headache and she gave up surfing at the ripe old age of 12.

My Peter Sheely board was the same price also. As they both work from home it must come down to overheads. From what i can see materials for a longboard would be about $500 or $600 so a couple boards a week would be a nice earner for a couple hours a day. The fin on my board alone is $129

Yep they are good value. Steve, wasn't the price of your fin included in the price or was it an extra that you had to pay for. If so take around $150 off the $1100 and that's a pretty good, cheap well made custom board.

Yep your right it dose have a hole thought he box.

Went for her maiden voyage today. While it was onshore winds and sloppy stuff i got a few. The board was good. Felt like riding my dining table at 24" wide but was very stable and felt good moving around on the deck. First nose rider and the biggest diff i noticed was unlike my HP longboard where i can get in a bottom turn and maybe one more the Pieter single fin was a lot more mellow. Step back for a turn, then walk forward to get it going then step back to turn. A very relaxing way to surf. Up near the nose was very stable and in some hollow waves im sure toes on the nose will be easy. Very happy.

Picked up an 8'6' SBB off Pieter for the last GR surf trip, unfortunately huey didn't come up with the goods. Had it out in, well lets face it pretty ordinary surf so far. It felt nimble & quick no noserides yet but she does feel like a keeper. Extremely well shaped, glassed, great price & pretty quick turn around time. Pieter is great to deal with as well.

Spoke to Pieter after he shaped it and he said the video should be up in the next day or two I believe. Getting glassed tomorrow. Pieter is a top guy to deal with. Couldn't recommend him more. Been such a great experience getting a board off him.
