As the title suggests, I am after the elusive clothing sponsor!

I have tried a few companies but they have already full teams so I thought I would try some smaller companies.

Any suggestions on who to try?

Cheers,
Tom.

Give the kid a break haters,he is having a go and you can't have a crack at anyone doing that.

Tom best to try a local small company that has a surf culture within their customer base.Good Luck.

Must have missed this. Oh well, I am sure it would have been more than amusing

Local company, hmm. Not many of those that start up in Tassie.

Tassie is nice but we are so isolated at times. Gives me the s#!ts.

Hi Tom,
In regards to Mac's comment:
I'm guessing one person gave you a red thumb for trying to get a clothing sponsor... But it's greens now.

Anyway, do you have some video footage of yourself riding? And/or pics...?
That would help get yourself noticed...
Your best chance is having your Dad spend some time filming.
In the SUP forum, Kristi Page (Vic), and Noah Yap (Maui), both had heaps of support from their Dad's. They picked up sponsors... Even Jason Polokow (the windsurf guy - JP.. and now SUP) started out that way... Dad filming... The added benefit, it helps to iron out some bugs in your style...

I've even heard of surfers practicing technique in front of a mirror.

Surfers practicing in front of a mirror! That is hilarious! Haha oh well, everything works better for different people.

Ah, I never looked at the thumbs.

Had videos up for a while, working on a new one now.

I would get Dad to film but he is always at work and when the surf is good he is out there anyway, not to mention that he is useless with any sort of technology. I usually get my brother to film but again, when the surf is good and I am surfing my best, he is out there too.

I may look into getting a camcorder and a soloshot. If you have never heard of a soloshot just google it. They look pretty nifty.

It sure does help with my surfing, I have noticed that alot.

Might go to the bathroom and practice some hang fives now...

Cheers for the response!

Tom.

Start my own brand? Haha could do but I would rather my future head towards being an engineer rather than a business owner...

Starting brands...
You'll enjoy life more as a business owner...
As an engineer you are risking 40-50 hours per week until you retire or die!

depends what sort of engineer - after watching Breaking Bad there is clearly a route to a good life in a hurry if you study chemical engineering
