Hey All,The better half and I are thinking of doing a tour from LA to San Francisco next year, ( around 8 days )
But after our tour we want to spend around another 7 - 8 days to see some of the famous beaches between Santa barbara and San Deigo. About 300 km's in distance.
You know the ones, ( Ventura, Santa Monica, Malibu, Huntington, Newport, Dana Point, Laguna, Ocean side, Delmar and many others.)
Mainly just to surf, shop and soak it all in 
I was thinking of some sort of guided tour for this area ( something like a surfari or a classic beaches tour, but after searching online for a while, I don't think anything like this exists. )
So we would have to plan and book something like this ourselves...
Our Idea was something like, Car Hire / Hotels - 2 days in Santa Barbara area, 2 - days in Santa Monica area, 2 - days in Huntington beach area and 2 or 3 days in the San Deigo area.
My Question is, has anyone spent anytime in these area's in the last few years or has anyone done anything like this before?
If you have, can you recommend any things to do, see, while there?
Did you feel relatively safe?? No hassles or anything?? ( as we all here story's of heavy localism in places over there )
Any ideas or experience's, please share, would help heaps.
