There is a good podcast with Devon Howard on 2+1 vs single. Think it was on surf splendour?
Hmmm.....yeah might have to go the 2+1. As u mentioned I can always still surf it single fin.
so if this is the case what fin would u use in the box? 6.5?
Whi makes them? ...a lot of them stop at 7.5?
cheers
Yeah something around that is a good place to start. I don't really go on height.
I've ridden mine with the same sides and a 8.5 Tudor centre, a 7inch christenson, a mctavish 6 inch and a 5.5 fins unlimited HP longboard fin. They all work. Just need to be in a different box position. It's kinda a trial and error thing to find what you like. Closer the cluster and bigger the centre will make it more single like.
More spread out and closer in size the 3 fins are will be more thruster ish.
As for options. I'm not allowed to look. I am on a program for my fin addiction

But I'd say try shapers, true Ames (think the parish or Wayne rich come in small sizes)
Also locally try Soar fins ( send him a msg or call)
Glide fins.
FCS kai sallas is a good option
The CW shapers fins are a good 2+1 but think they changed the name or stopped making them.
