Anybody still have one of these?

I rode one a few times many years ago and really liked the extra rocker and the epoxy orange. Tried to buy it off my mate who would not sell it to me (for a reasonable price anyway). I can't see it still in production any more and wonder why? Also not really seen any one else making something similar.

Cheers

Surtech are **** imo only, and the razor was probably the most horrible mct/longboard i have surfed....easily the worse

I liked the original surfing goldy beaches on the few times i did,but the 8ball was one board i wished i kept...awesome board

Bazz the original i surfed had the belly channels through the belly ,was the four channel you had a custom spec ?

Yeah both Dave and Jackson Close killed it on the Razor model back in the day,I owned a couple back them,I find the evo a much better board to ride.

While we are at McTavish surftechs. I had a 9,4 (I think) Ray Gleave hire board on the North Shore for a week or so. Was an absolute ripper and changed my perspective on the surftechs. Chatting to the bloke at the hire shed it was also his go to board he would grab when he went out. Although I only surfed it in max 3-4 foot chuns, the hire shop dude said it went good in big waves too!
it was super beat up and scrappy but went unreal!

Late 90s early 2000s longboards were the best... Still are... Muchore user friendly then the hipster fad boards.

90s was Pulled in tails, nose wide enough to stand on but not to wide. Enough rocker to turn.. Really good all round LBs.

Jason Blewitt model was good too.. Think his current model is still that style. The diverse model he had was good too.

Harleys boards are still similar to, that style.

Yes - this one had the channels in the belly as well. not sure what they did up there !! It was a good beachie board. I had an ev8 that went pretty well as an allrounder for beachies and points. I think they were similar to an 8ball

Some boards seem to go OK in surf tech and some board stink. I remember a Tolhurst I had in Surtech that I really liked.

Very good board... There was a pause on making them for a while, I think... Then sort of discontinued... The Evo2 takes its spot I believe...

I still ride mine in the bigger swell of south west WA, and the faster waves in Bali. With Quobba sides and a sleek dolphin in the centre box, it's the closest thing I ride to a 'short board'. Triple stage rocker and fast and hard turning means I can take on big steep west aussie waves and the quobbas make it feel like I'm on rollercoaster tracks. Love that board.

I have a Fireball too, and while the FB is easier to paddle and better for covering most situations, it's like a commodore station wagon compared to the SS V8 sedan

I've had Tuflite McT Razor and thought it was an ok board, also had a Takayama Tuffy which went well also.

Still have a Tolhurst Tuflite BT109 model which is the best longboard I've ever had..
