It's as though Bobby is on something !!

Most of us know he's had a few issues with the ASP hierarchy lately, but he probably got what he deserved from his outburst.

Is he mainly pissed off about The One World Ranking System?

I understand that the One World System just gives those just outside the top 44 more of a chance, which is only fair.

Otherwise, the ASP Tour guys are relatively lucky to get to visit all those lovely destinations, and get an opportunity to surf the best of the conditions.... Yes, they need to "rock up to work" each day during the comp window, and "work on their fitness and technique" outside of the comps....

But overall, I thought Bobby was a bit out of line. Hats off for speaking your mind. But I would have bitten my tongue. He's at risk of being remembered for these events, and not for his great surfing, on and off the tour.

I'm just not into the new system, maybe I've lost touch with age who knows.
But I've always believed in doing your time until you become a tradesman.
Old school, what I don't like is how they cut the tour in half and the bottom
half are left for dead.

Can't see how this is a fair result for Bobby...he got virtually the same punishment as Sunny and Jeremy Flores got for beating the **** out of a couple of people....the ASP are a congo line of suck holes (thanks Mark Latham) if it might effect the support of Ripaqucikbong then they bury it (ASP drug testing anyone??)

I think if you start the year on the WCT you should be able to finish the year, what point is there if you cant? The guys comming in mid year cant win so what is the point?????

I think part of Bobby's problem with the new tour is not so much the guys on it just that the One world tour starts in Brazil so their point is that the Brazilians and people who will chase points in brazil have an advanyage at the mid year cut off cause they have accumulated more points. basically bobo freddie P etc don't want to do ****ty events and are pissed because they are going to miss the cut cause the dream tour now has points accumulated from non prime events.
And also there other point is so far this year for example 2 quik events, if quik give a wildcard to there surfers in both events and he chases points through the early part of the year in non prime location he can accumulate aenough points to be on tour after the half way cut, remeber WCT surfers, don't get seeded into WQS events any more, they all start in the first round, another of Bobo's complaints.
Sure they could surf them but they feel like they have earnt the right to be on tour for a full year.

I should also add the early year events also include in the australian leg.

I think that was their point. although i don't rule out the possibility i missed it all together...and BoBo is just an angry young man.. but a damn fine surfer..
