To the original poster and all those who agree with him,
unless the guy has hit you with his board then shut your mouth. someone will shut it for you if you persevere.
why are you so stupid? your the arrogant fool by the way. noone has to listen to you.
the best longboarders in the world have all vocally said they don't wear legropes because it gets in the way of longboard surfing.you wouldnt know that though because you obviously cant do any manuvers and don't have an appreciation for those who can.
surfers did not where legropes for 70 years just fine and their are more accidents in the water today.
I have been surfing without a legrope on my longboard for 20 years and have never hit anyone ONCE!
I have had ATLEAST 10 injuries from surfers who were wearing legropes who bailed thier boards like kooks infront of me or couldnt make a drop despite missiling themselves into the channel where others are paddling out. i've had stitches on my eyelids from kooks with legropes on and this stuff happens all the time but noone talks about it. just wannabe hero's like you complaining about guys without a leash whether it affects you or not.
so how about you think of this then, should all nippers put legrops on thier boards, or lifesavers rescue boards, or clubbie kayaks???
i've seen plenty of those things loose taking out guys in the lineup before too.
surfing is not chess so take your hi vis vest and go back to whatever inland suburb you came from Mr. ISOS. I guarantee it doesn't say cottosloe on your license. probably somewhere 20 minutes from the surf, your not a local, nothing you says matters. and wait till the day you act like a smartass hero to the wrong guy...
Wish I surfed as well as you. You probably don't need a seatbelt either because you are such a good driver.
Or a more valid metaphor, you probably don't let people in while merging...selfish, inconsiderate, completely lacking in altruism and empathy and community - yeah that sounds like most surfers without leggies.
BTW, I like the way you talk so tough on the net. It's funny. Violence, and threats of it, are the last resort of the incompetent.
As as far as the local thing goes, so you never surf 20 minutes from home? And I guess I'm not a local anywhere as I'm 20mins from any wave, even though I can paddle out at a bunch of places and not catch anything because I'm too involved with other locals? Damn!
Also, I didn't get your point about the "looks" with legropes. Are you saying the legropes contributed somehow? Because I know that a rampant longboard marauding through the lineup is directly related to there being no Legropes.
