On the times I've been lucky enough to go to Waikiki, I've found I prefer a longer, wider (hire) board.
And what are the specs to get it on the plane? or will you be keeping this one over there once it's done?
Yes on my last trip I met a couple of older American ladies who had Makaha Surfboards make a couple of custom boards designed for Waikiki .
Very similar to a MCT fireball plan shape but with a wide tail like the MCT noserider with 50/50 rails. Anyone who has surfed on the south shore will tell you its a soft wave so volume is the key,so I had it made 23 1/4 x 3 1/4 and kept it 9.6 for air transport.I kept the fireball rails so the thing looks like a noserider but rips.
