Didn't they try this in the '60s. Of course they were going to bring in a surf tax.

I can't find the story that went with one of those signs, but the gist of it was that all money raised was to fund floodlights at snapper to allow for 24 Hour surfing. The comments section was funnier than the joke

Yeah I've had a look and can't find it either. I don't have a computer so I can't load links from my phone........they run a night comp down hear sometimes at Golfie Reef but talk about a sharky encounter. Not for me

Some of the beach boys have lost thier livelihoods due to a large company moving in on the rental and surf lessons seen in Wiakiki and all hell is about to breaking loose. To say the locals are filthy is a understatement.

This is sure to destroy any marshmallow fools in the line up

Looks look me another surf break in danger if this development goes on which sounds like it is, all those old family cafes overlooking the break will go under.
