Now that the water has warmed up a little bit, I have noticed a mini surge in Longboard kook surfing... Here's the basic problem;

I've noticed that some guys surf a Longboard really badly. I think it is the shortboard guys, and neewbies... The number 1 mistake is probably the reluctance to walk up the board...

Problems;
- keeping the feet planted, not walking up and down.
- riding too far forward, and keeping the feet planted, and consequently being in a bad position for the bottom turn, and also being in the wrong position for trimming.
- stick man stance...

But hey, I'm sure these guys are having some great fun, even if it is not that pretty to watch!

Lacey, there's kook on 666's too you know! (not you though!)

AND - there's nothing wrong with learning to surf either!! I have noticed the above errors on guys who can obviously surf, but seem a bit lost on a Longboard...

(Note/reminder for new readers: 666=SUP... it's about the Devil Number! [}:)] )
