Gotta love those flights arriving during the day cruising up the coast. Almost makes me wanna swap to a window seat, but I'm more comfortable on the isle. Might be able to pass my camera over for some when I'm arriving at low tide

Ill be over there after Nth Sumatra trip in october,looking forward to surfing Ulus again after many years so decided to spend a few days up there and sneak out now and then if crowd thins a bit.A mate reckons when the swells up crowds are minimal although not sure at what size that happens,couple of places up past Keramas to be checked out as well, hope you get some epic waves

Depends on swell size mate...bigger I'll be based somewhere between Bingin & Ulu's cruising around on a scooter. Smaller I'll just stay at the good old Palm Beach Hotel & do early morning Raids East or out front with old mate Gusti

Ordered some rashie type leggings last night to avoid that September Sunburn flu symptoms I usually get before acclimatising, some durorez, 2 tailpads & 2 new boards...fully frothing now

Crowds thin out when it gets over head & a 1/2 & thins out in the arvo...Just get yourself a scooter & cruise around...Tides are very determinant North of Padang Padang, you will get waves no prob, lots of people just floating around making it look crowded. Ulu's works on everything except small swell combined with low tide.

I leave early Oct 6, if your in Bali before then let me know mate. Get some waves & Bintangs with ya

Wish I could of done Sumatra too, maybe next year...wishing you epic waves also & damn sure you will score them

I've seen the beach once I've got a buggered knee so drinking is good sorry about the side on shots something when I post here it dose it but not at home.
