No, dripping wet are at north Steyne, just behind the north Steyne surf club.

Basically between manly and queeny.

swell will not be as big as first thought but you will need to find yourself a nice sheltered southern corner....winds should go SW around 7am so you might be in luck.

It's got this cool pocket with a wax comb and one of those hex bits for the fins.

Few patched up dings. Not bad for $395

That's a good buy for the price Scotty.

If you're struggling to get waves to start with, take out the side bites, you'll then find easier to get on board.

Once you've rediscovered your old form, throw them back in a start ripping.

And if you need a bigger fin to get you by for a bit, I may have one to suit.

Michael R borrowed one off me once and ended up never going back to Side bites, he just went out and bought a single of his own.

Great advice OB thanks - I'll take the side fins out for now.
What fin do you reckon I should get ? Where over northside is best to buy fins ?

I think it was skip fry who once said that 1 inch per foot of board was a good rule of thumb, but after about 9 inches, it does not seem to matter.

I don't know if he's right, but I never seem to get any real advantage going past 9 inches, even on my 10'6".

It just creates more drag.

About the only exception is on a pure noserider where you seem to need the big fin to hold the tail under the curl and create a bit of drag to keep you in the pocket.
