I'd be going custom Scotty, just make sure you pick a good one, heaps around btw,its important you have a lengthy discussion with them, your high/weight,where you intend to surf and your own ability very important that last one.

Then go wild with art

I started back into the lineup back in Feb. Bought a new McT FB 9'6"x23"x3".BUT, since I got it custom, Dave at McT left volume in the centre of the board so its 3"with a medium rail with the volume of a 3"&1/4 through the middle. Loving it, although I do exclusively surf a right hand point break so can't comment on fast breaking beachies.

Walden Megas are the dreaded SLX epoxy, very soft. I've had 9' x 24" x3 7/8. Paddles great went best as a single fin but needed to be ridden off the tail due to the thickness. I'd recommend the 10' walden magic epoxy . Big wide nose for easy catching waves ,more maneuverable than the mega s ,110 litres but be warned big litre epoxy s are mongrels paddling out in broken surf.

Thanks Mac. I will be on the hunt for pre-loved LB over next 4 weeks. If I don't find one then it's custom order time.

+1 Scotty that would be perfect for you and you would sell it for what you paid for it in six months. I think you would be crazy to buy a custom board at this stage mate

Looks a bit too good for the price. A decent mal would cost around 600. The dimensions sound right but you would want to see the bottom. It could be creased and the stringer could be damaged underneath but not visible from above.
I'd be careful with that one.

Just spoke to them and the guy reckons no creases or damage to stringer.
Just dings to rails which have been fixed.
So what do you guys reckon ? Take to punt or what ?

Certainly sounds like a keeper to me Scotty. See if you can talk him down $50 or to chip in for your freight costs.....ask him nicely to pack it nicely for ya.

I would snap it up if I was you

My people are currently negotiating with the Noosa longboard people. The current deal on the table is $475 incl freight - I offered $450. Very intense atm.
Can we pull off a deal by close of business ?

I told them if I find any creases and/or stringer damage - my QLD Greenroom representatives will pop in for a visit.

I thought about that 'emotional hedge' today. If I put 1K on Dogs at $1.50 and they win I would be $500 ahead to buy the board. If Dogs lost I would be so happy about Bunnies in the GF I wouldn't give a fark about the 1K loss. It's a win win right ?

Boofy, I don't think they will budge on the $475 and I don't want to lose it either.
There bluff wins.
