So my search for the perfect replacement board continues....

Can anyone tell me about the CW King Pin? - like where it sits compared to the other CW models?

Thanks!

nice time to log in....mate the king pin is the most high performance longboard on the market bar none. some peeps love a proper hp longboard, like me. others hate them, and a lot of other brands who claim to have a hp model are just dreaming

this years aussie champ rode a king pin and clint guest came third on a whalebone.

the king pin has a big amount of everything. i run mine with shapersam2 ,or Jackson close s9 and a small shark fin. it has that much tail lift that my fins are almost all out of the water.

the board has enough of a flat section to be a easy paddler, not as easy as my whalebone,,,,,,,but easy peasy none the less.

the nose lift keeps it from pearling on the beachies i surf and has outdone itself in so many days where my other longboards would have me picking up shells..

i can nose ride mine,it is not a board where you will spend long amounts of time doing it...well for me that's the case.....but me being a shortboarder who loves longboards this is my most favourite sled.

anything else just ask...as you can tell this is one board im truly in love with

Ohhhh... I'm looking to replace an old Latta shaped mal that sounds very similar - that sounds just the ticket!!

Have found a secondhandy at a good price, and even have a set of S9's here waiting.
Time to pull the trigger!

it is my favourite

he always considered himself the king pin of the room

with his I know all sneering contempt oozing through the pc screens, like he is the master of all or something

- the dirty shoulder hopping, strawberry milk shake drinking, occy haired, lippy attitude north end surfer

not that worries me or anything. never give it a second thought really.

ps hi chrispy hope im not out of line calling you a north end surfer

Hows she go for down the line speed? i'm looking at 9'1" for my fave super fast left. the HL handles it better than most but I've pretty much gotta angle takeoff and then just bang it in a straight line. would love a bit more rocker for a late takeoff and speed to beat the occasional section

Most shapers specialise in boards not websites. With Instagram you can see lots of boards and get a feel for if you like what they do.
