i vaguely remember a tv show or cartoon with a gronk in it in the 60's.............mrs gronk used o call him gronky [ in a loving way

It's not in the dictionary, but I vaguely recall that the noise made when a scab falls off a festering arsehole and hits the gound it's commonly refered to as a "Caringhbah", but I could be mistaken.
