Aaaaaahhhh, just the memory of that place almost brings a tear to my eye, I probably had the 2 best surfs of my life there, the first one was a hands down winner as far as distance goes. It was so long I counted the steps I needed just to get back to the point where I could paddle out. I've has some awesome long rides at Plommer and Arra, but I still think that was the best because the wall never really went away.
The second really good surf I had there was on the beach break, I was not getting a look in off the point so I decided I would just prone out on the back of a point wave, pack up and drive home. Then I got a reform inside and it was so good, I stayed there for almost 2 hours riding the beachies, they were holding their shape all the way to the sand, I had my toes near the snotty end for longer than I have ever managed before, or since.
The only thing that spoilt the experience was that I only pull in there on the way up north, or on the way home, so I didn't have a buddy to share it with

They would have been the sort of sessions we could have talked about, (and talked up) for many decades to come
