what size and style of fin do most guys ride in these gliders?
I've spoken to quite a few guys who ride (competantly) and the style varies from D's, hatchets, and Greenough style. But what's surprising is that the lengths aren't often as long as you'd expect, from 9" to 11' even on 12'ers. One guy is using a 9" on a 12' board.
Whilst the Wegener's have the big fin set, my 11' Liberty Foils runs on a single 8 inch True Ames rake and the 11'8 Josh Hall has a 6 1/2 inch centre with GL side bites.
this 10'4 Carabine is ridden with a single 9 1/2 inch Nat Young raked True Ames. Nothing else comes close to the feeling I get with that fin.

Hmmm interesting....looking at a 11ft chriscraft and was thinking the 9.5inch greenough?
One of them is on my dream board list but sadly our waves mean it wouldn't get used a lot. Just have to be happy with one of his mids.
Why wouldn't you get the fin designed for it? Christenson fins are available through captain fin.
Yeah that's the one...you just gotta choose the size which they don't really give any guidance on...the 9.5 looked about right
the template is quite similar to greenough...so thought more people would know what style of fin I was looking at, but yes it's the captain one u get stock.
yes this board has been on my list for a while too...hopefully it'll be in the rack sooner rather than later
