Well that was having a super session *on my own* on Western Port early Sunday morning (anyone else who got a bit of it - look up the word 'serendipitous'), and was paddling out on my 8'10" Prowave after catching a wave, standing up not prone.
Punched through wave with whitewater one, no probs, punched through whitewater II no probs, went to punch through whitewater III and...
**WHAMMO!**
Board didnt punch through, rather flipped up, and the front of the board square hit me square in the face!!!
As the claret started to drip from the snoz, I was in the water have a major WTF session with myself.
Anyone ever had this happen? Its as though the board 'caught' the whitewater and flipped backwards straight at me. What stance should i have to stop this ever happening again?!?!!
Blood or not, still was good for a few more waves as i was having such an incredibly good time
