well the board looks great. we had a hiccup with the edges that were laid up like a surfboard and went a fair way up the board. it was a bit too hardcore and slowed the board so we sanded them softer and further back. we had scope to do that. after all it is a experiment with the edges
took theboard for a few waves yesterday and paddled out in the back wash around the point. felt pretty good out there. surfed and got sucked along by the bumps in front very nicely.
i took it to training this morning and well- im over the moon. started middle back in the warm up. as soon as we sprinted the board came to life in the the cross wash from the paddlers in front. felt like i was dw ing or something. my 12'6 would get washed off track in that but the 114' held its line and seemed to use this energy to go forward
the board loves bumpy water and hunts wakes. charged up the field then sat behind another 14 er. it was very little effort to sit in behind him.
when we turned again the board just kept paddled down other paddlers wakes.
when the gun paddlers came up i just sat in ones wake again cruising
all that tells me the board is going to be a insane dw er
dj, on file at 25. shaped up nd finished 24.5'
kissa yeah i really liked that sic. i was inspired how that went along with other fuller nosed dw boards. the tomy 12'6 has that kind of nose but more surfboard rail shaped for planning- its a dw flier
