If you're game enough you can put an add on truckit.net or a similar website, always plenty of trucks that maybe looking for something to top their load up etc. I got a quote a while back to send a 14ft from WA to Qld and someone offered $275 and that included insurance, of course I would have had the board packed well by myself and requested a top load etc.

Also try a Boat transport mob who is transporting to Perth, at 10ft it will fit inside a boat. I know a SUP guy in Cairns gets some boards transported up the coast inside boats and they turn up with no dings etc.

Send it by air, it will cost more but it's better than having it crushed by stuff in a truck for a week

I agree ,with airfreight ...partly ....me and two mates trucked 3 boards over 2/3 boards got chips...and they where still in the box brand new .
sydney to Perth ...3 x boards $150. Truck freight .(startrack) mainly on the ends ...no crushing happened....pack it well .its cheap enough.
can't complain mine wasn't damaged theirs where .
