I am currently using a Fanatic Pro 100 7.25 wide ( blade area of 90inch square or 580cm2).
(This blade is the smallest of the two sizes available). I love the flex of this paddle but seem to struggle a bit with shoulder issues so I am considering trying a smaller blade... The SB bolt Medium looks good at 79inch square (510cm)... But unsure which shaft to go for ( SB bolt comes in 4 different shaft flex rating)... Which flex rating would be closest to the Pro 100?? I tried the bolt 38 but it "feels" very stiff..(?)... Maybe it takes time to adjust?
I am 77kg 5.11" tall... (Focusing on flat water distance race). I know I will try them before I buy etc but interested to hear paddlers opinion on downsizing blade and shaft flex.
