what ever happened to the weekly wrap ups on the events happening in sup surfing and racing? Who was doing them they were a good read.
jonesy started doing a few YouTube clips "a brew with the crew" they were magic also.
Im left with Supracer blog (which is the gold standard) (but generally only covers the professional events and only racing) as the only entertaining bits of media within SUP. im left wanting more from the armchair of the office on this sport.
am I the only one or is there demand out there to bring something to the table on weekly basis to wrap up news that's happening in the sport.
I know I am a bit of an anti sometimes Andy but to me the NFoS was a dud.
No disrespect to Jonesy and others who are hard workers, the SUP racing went well, so did a number of the surfing heats, when the waves were around.
The SUP final was a let down with conditions not matching the SUPsurfers abilities, the 10' final saw some very good SUPsurfers
pushing each other in conditions and waves that were average at best.
The final of the longboards was nothing short of a joke. It was held between the groynes in waves that could best be describes as piddling.
Disappointing because there were plenty of waves on the open beaches.
To me it looks like the Festival has become an income earner for some rather than a Festival of Surfing.
I am sure there are people out there who disagree, please do, however, the fascination with First Point has let down the surfers.

ET was this your weekly wrap up of the festival of surfing?
I was more writing this post to see if people on this forum are chasing something more for sup news etc. There is some good content on the net like Supracer and supthemag but there isn't much for the Australian scene besides club pages etc on Facebook.

All that stuff came straight off Face Book. You just had to be following all the various sites which strangely enough a lot of crew do. At the time I thought how good it was but it was a lot of work so wasn't surprised it only lasted 3-4 episodes.
