Hi guys, the topic pretty much sums it up. I've got a 2015 naish mana board and it's going to be sitting on the roof of my car in it's bag while I drive in some really hot temperatures! Do I release the vent plug for the drive or leave it in???
Shouldn't the plug so it's job and vent air anyway?
Depends what type of plug, the one on my JP is just a screw, I take it out every time i travel....

The only job it does (on most boards) is plug a hole.. ![]()
Unless it's the breathable gortex type that plugs the hole but still slowed the board to vent without water letting in.
If it is gore-tex (hexagonal plastic head without a screwdriver slot) DO NOT TOUCH IT.
They are very easy to break if you do not perfectly get the key down enough to grab the body of the screw, not just the cap.
Try to keep the bag as open as possible so that the air can circulate and avoid building up the temperature.
.
Naish 2015 boards have stainless screws.
if you take it out ...don't forget to put it back in .
yeah I've done it ....duh.
surf was pumping ,got excited .grabbed the board and headed out.
i leave mine in now ...never touch them.....she'll be right .
It's a screw so it looks like I'll be taking it out and keeping the bag open as much as I can. Putting it back in will be the first thing I do after the 3 day drive. Thanks for the help everyone
