Recorded it and the first half is insane. Clyde is a ballsy 66 year old and the rest of the crew are just mad men.

Typically around 10 feet long. Shortest board ridden today in the Eddie was Kelly Slater on a 8'6".

The swell period there today was approx 20 seconds. The board length and volume are needed to catch the waves but that also makes them difficult to make adjustments to the lines drawn as they fall down the wave faces. The surfers are incredible - physically and mentally - to test themselves in those conditions.

A three hour highlight package is being broadcast now on Fox channel 501.
