Could someone please give me a little more details regarding drop off of boats and safety gear requirements for the DR race, as I am traveling from over east and want to make sure I have the right PFD etc
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated i.e. Can I have log transported in bag and collect from terminal after, is there anyone I can shuttle with from Finish point to start or where finish point is.

Best to get Rotto Ferry from Hillary's Boat Harbour, this is next door to the Finnish you can park at the Sorrento Surf Life saving Club (the Finish) and walk across to the boat terminal. Most crew will load boards on the barg the night before for transport over, you won't be able to take board bags as they wont come back, best to take nothing of value over to Rotto that you can't take with you on your board, most crew dress in their race gear and take a plastic bag with food and drink etc, some cash for a coffee or quick one off the wood at the pub.
