Hi all,

Thinking of making a drive down the coast to Jervis Bay for the weekend, I know the beaches are amazing however wanted to see if there are any nice spots to check out for a paddle. I'm rocking an iSUP - Naish Glide, so preferably flatter water.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,
T.

Lots of great spots down there. Plenty to look at in paddle up the creek at Huskinson. If you get a chance get down to Murrays beach on south side.

If a southerly is blowing, Plantation Point at Vincentia is tops.

Thanks for the response guys, on a separate note I'm trying to suss out the weather for the weekend and it's looking good but trying to analyse wind conditions. How would you best read the wind reports to get an idea of how the water would be?

I don't really understand what you mean. Which sites are you using and how much info are you trying to extract.

I just had a quick look at the seabreeze and willy weather charts for Illawarra and south coast and both indicate moderate northerly's getting stronger through the day. If you get out prior to 10 you will get some nice flat water. If getting out later than that you will need to stay on Northside to find some shelter. Would be good for a big north south downwind if you have a chase crew!

Honeymoon bay. Don't go with your misses unless you want kids.

it sure is a magic place
I used to spend Christmas their with my uncle each year and he had to use his grader before people could drive in and out
I remembered it being enormous but when I went back a couple of years ago either I had grown or it had shrunk but it was still just as beautiful
I hadn't thought of paddling there but it is now on my to do list
