Hi Everyone!

I just wanted to get it out there that I just had my new 10ft Surftech Laird Hamilton Board stolen from my ute on the Esplanade in Burleigh Heads this morning.

It is exactly as you can see in the photos with the colour blue. I have reported it to police link, but just wanted to see if anyone has seen or has any information can you please let me know- Thank-you

Hi,
i realize your in QLD, but i have been looking for a SUP to buy for sometime and just came across this listing on ebay that looks a lot like yours. you can check the close up pics to confirm if it is or not. It is a slim chance that someone took it and transported it all the way to Sydney, but a chance none the less.

Good spotting - even if it's not the one, selling stuff interstate's a pretty common tactic.

Sorry to hear about your troubles but before anyone goes blaming us NSW folk id be using some simple observation skills to observe that the OP's board dose not have the "S" symbol on the deck grip (assuming that photo is of you on your board) and that the one on eBay has a leggie string hanging off it, same as yours, but did you have the quad fin set up as well, like the board on eBay?.

So my question to the OP and to save anyone from being falsely accused,...... can we safely rule this board on eBay out as not being yours at least on the basis of the "S" symbol, if not the fin set up as well?

Surftechs have a serial number on them, any chance you recorded it?

Check cash converters from coolie to broadie at least. And Gumtree.

Check cash converters cooly and palmbeach. Most stolen sup boards end up in there.

Well I tried to help before and was voted down, but ill risk it anyway, surely given the amount of photos with all the scratches showing in the original listing on ebay you know if this is your board or not by now, I know every scratch and ding on my boards!, did you study all the nine photos in the listing closely? There are several dents and scratches on that board you really cant miss.

I understand your frustration but you need to get on this ASAP as the guy on eBay if innocent is getting a bad wrap here.

Well I've made contact with the person on eBay and they have told me that they had the board since new and have all the papers for it and have already spoken to the police in regards to the matter, so I think its time to move on from this person if this is indeed the case and let them sell their board.

I'd just like to add on (sorry if someone already mentioned this) if you see a listing that looks like your board, and it has a sticker on it, don't rule it out, it may still be yours. People are getting smatter, chucking on some stickers to make it seem like its not a stolen board. But then again, if its a used board you can easily tell (more in person than on pictures) whether the sticker was placed on recently or has been on for a while.

hope this helps

I've come in late, saw the first few posts but not followed the thread. JUST because they say they have contacted the cops counts for zilch. As others said
, you know If it's yours. Trust your instincts.

tLet me elaborate, apparently the Police have contacted the eBay seller and they are satisfied all is above board (no pun intended), but the problem IMO with this thread is that anyone selling a blue Laird is now under suspicion of it being stolen as first off the wrong photo of the board was posted on here, then the wrong size was mentioned, and thirdly this is dragging on far too long, the OP needs to make a decision and rule this board out as not hers so the seller can sell their board.

The seller has also told me they can take a photo of the serial number if I want to see it, that would categorically rule out the board being stolen, so if Brittany can let us all know what her serial number is this can be cleared up ASAP.

Brittany do you have the serial number? (don't post it here yet if you do, just let us know if you have it)

Mute point now. as the seller has ended the auction early... and looks like tried to relist but the listing has been removed by ebay...
