The need for "Social Distancing" made me think of how I live that way, every day.
I live alone.
Paddle alone.
Surf alone, whenever possible.
This is a video of some of my Solo Sessions around the world
However:
I have racked my boards till this thing passes and healthcare workers can go to the beach.
I'm ok with that.
nice STC .. inspiring. Keep well and keep the vids coming... How about a lockdown rating of your all time fave sunova boards ???
Great video, great life style, green with envy, my step children make me want the solo lifestyle that's for sure.
Creek-dude - what a sweet vid!!!
far out - that's a dose of the good stuff right there - keep the stoke goin man!!!
Yew!!
ha ha.. thanks kids!
Gonna try to keep cranking videos out during this lull, probably have close to a hundred half done... lots of footage in the locker
Thats a great watch... for some of us that just get out and hack at it and don't vid anything... thats a great vid to watch, and what a lifestyle.
hey ric at 9.57 mark was that a shark fin out the back .or hopefully a seal .
I left it in for fun.
Although I live at ground zero for GW's... it was an Ocean Sunfish.
This is a GW cruising our line-up, 2 days after Arthur got killed by one.
How do I film them? Tripod with one of those trackers?
Yes. I use SoloShot3 Optic65
The system uses GPG "tag" worn on my arm.
The GPS satellites tell the Camera where the "tag" is, and the camera films that signal location.
The video quality is great, when everything works correctly.
It doesn't follow correctly all the time, but it is the only option, if you want a "follow me" type of camera.
I lug all the gear, board and paddle to the beach, set it up and wait till it starts following.
Then, hope no one steals the camera while I'm surfing
I film every session I can, but many of my favorite point and reef breaks are accessible only by a long paddle... so "Kook Hat Cam" gets the gig.
