As far as I understand there will be 2 sizes for the new LE:
2015 Jav LE 14' x 28" and 2015 Jav LE 14' x 26".
Does anyone knows their exact liters ?
What will be the perfect board for a person around 90Kgr (200lbs) and 186cm (6.1).
Thanks.

Hey Doctor Who,

Correct, the new 2015 Javelins come in 2 widths and 2 constructions (LE & GX). Volumes are as follows,

- 12'6" x 26 = 225ltrs
- 12'6" x 28 = 270ltrs
- 14' x 26" = 250ltrs
- 14' x 28" = 285ltrs

As for the perfect size for you, this will depend on your application and skill. I personally loved riding the 26" wides when everything was going well, but feel I benefit more from riding the 28" in majority of conditions. I am 95kg @ 6'2". Saying that, if you are experiences and are already riding the 14' x 23", then you would most likely go for the 26" at your weight. But off the bat, I would recommend the 28"

Ride safe,

JB

Thanks JB.
Currently I am riding a 2012 Javelin GX 14' x 27 1/4 with 290ltrs at conditions here in Greece, but I am fed-up with the board's reaction in cross wind/side chops.

If you are riding the flatwater Javelin at the moment you will be amazed that the LE version in 26 wide is a totally different board. Super stable and not nearly as affected by the cross chop etc. The current 2014 LE that I have is super stable. I would think the 26 LE will be fine for you, especially if the new shape is even more stable.

cheers

I think with those measurements (27 1/4" wide) drwho is more likely paddling the 2012 glide, the DW board with the upturned nose than the old flat water javelin. Given he is having issues with side chop and wind, I would recommend the 28" in the new ones.

This is my board. My mistake is 26 1/8 and not 27 1/4....

Go the 28" nice to have a little more width in the ocean, plus the board will still have speed

Depends on how fed up you are with the roll of the Javelin you have. The LE 26 is substantially more user-friendly so unless you are falling in on the Javelin I'd dare say the 26 should be fine. I use the Javelin (like yours) on our canals where its flat and when I go downwind or ocean paddling I use the LE 26....the acceleration of a narrower board is addictive....I weigh around 85kg and am probably much older....

Just to clarify, PeterP are you talking about the 2014 Javelin LE X26? or the 2015 Javelin X26? in your comparison to the Jav.
