Been thinking I wouldnt mind entering the surfing ,if for no other reason than to watch some surfing and hang out with some like minded folk (not too many sups down my way). But am wondering what the standard of surfing is .Im under no illusions about my surfing ,average at best,
Pretty much just wouldnt wanna be a standout kook or is it all pretty social. Also how long would it take to run up there from around Taree way.

Jason I did the online rego for the surfing but there were no age divisions??
Hi Rod
age division are taken from your date of birth when you enter
the system gives me the info so all good
as its about Fun we will put you in the correct age group
the age groups for the surfing comp are open male and female including
over 40s men over 50 s men over 60s men over 45 female
all size boards
yes
you have to enter and pay twice
one using your over 50s dob
and one using a dob that's under 40
the reason is we want to allow as many people to have a surf in one age as we only have a day and half for surfing
there's plenty of beach and plenty of Starboards to try out when your not in the comp
I know of one such Macs man that is suddenly in his 40s but won the over 50s nationals
