I didn't compete last year but came up with a few of the boys to check it out . The whole format and vibe was fantastic , the beach bar was unreal. Definitely book in again for 2016 
but need to see a over 40's or 50's in the Sup surfing.
BIG NEWS....
SUP's at the Noosa Festival 2016 will have a Amateur division and a Pro invitational in the SUP surfing. The Pro invitational will only have 8 of the worlds best sup surfers in a winner takes all shoot out.
6x of the best Australian paddlers have already been invited.
2x spots still to be confirmed for overseas paddlers or two more OZie's guns.
The amateur event will be bigger and better and is open to anyone.
The best part is, the winner and runner up in the amateur event will get wild cards into the Pro invitational.

Hey Piros, I would love to have the 40s and 50s in the event next year but time is a big problem at Noosa with over 700 entries and 31 divisions last year!
I've added the Pro invitation which will help us amateurs and will be doing prizes for the 40s and 50s with the highest heat and combined score.

At least drop in a repo charge , it was brutal last year knocked out in your first heat thanks for coming and enjoy your $180 t-shirt. That was pretty tough on the interstate guys.
Was same with state titles mess up a heat and collect a t shirt. Have heard a rumor of a new bi coastal comp running next year between gold coast and sunshine coast with a end of year coast v coast final sounds really good.
YEP, this is a great event. but there needs to be a repo round...

Don't delay with the sup surfing as it books out quickly.
With the Surfing, there will be 2x events in one. The amateur division will run with heats and finals, then the pro's jump in with the top 4 amateurs getting to have a crack at the world top 8 in a epic shoot out.
Pete Dorries will be holding a Sup Clinic on Sunday 6th March at the Lions Park Noosa at 9am.
This is for all levels, from beginner to semi pro.
As a part of the clinic, Pete will watch you paddle the distance race on the Saturday giving him a great insight for the clinic on Sunday morning. The master class will run as long as needed and after you can use your newly crafted skills to compete in the short course/BOP race on Sunday afternoon.
It's $55 dollars per person and only 10 x spots are available.
