Hey, I'd like to know if anyone uses the Cooks River for SUP training/fitness?
Hoping to use Cooks river to speed train over the next few months... anyone interested in joining me or starting a local SUP group?

Crickey! I would not be falling in. I'd wear sealed and enclosed footwear. Most polluted river in Australia. I'm guessing it would be better closer to the mouth of Botany Bay.

Hey TBM, I checked it out today ... yep, I totally agree with you!!!
Rode my bike along the river from Tempe to Canterbury and decided to stay well away...
Was way too optimistic after learning about the river rejuvenation program combined with reading about a SUP race event held at Cooks River in 2018 and 2019.

That webscorer screen shot is for a 5km time trial up on Narrabeen Lakes, not Cooks River. However, some of our Sydney Paddle Surfing Club members do paddle on the Cooks River occasionally and have done individual out-and-back 5k TTs on it (usually starting up near the airport).
