Plans are slowly coming together for our Downwind Daze Paddle this weekend .With a few conflicting reports on the wind we will be making the final call 4 pm Sat .We are looking to provide you with best options we can .We will be having a couple of spare trailer spots ,many thanks to the crew behind this .

We will be having 2 groups .The racing group will be leaving first so if you want to be part of this make sure u are good to go early . The racing crew will going with lead paddler Chris Clarke ,one of our local crew .
The social group will be off a bit later with a shorter paddler .This group will have lead paddlers DJ and Mark Renouf

Cost will be $ 30 per paddle or $75 for 3 ,with a no refund policy but u can substitute a paddler
What do I get for my hard earned

Safety boat on course
Laminated Finishers certificate (by 3)
Post paddle BBq and refreshments
Medals .trophies for racing crew
Medals trophies for social crew (drawn out of a hat )
T shirt at last paddle
Special spot prize at last paddle for crew who have all 3 paddles
Spot prizes at last paddle

Safety is important so check you have the right gear .For the social crew we encourage you to have a paddle buddy .SUP VIC will be covering the insurance on this event for its members so check your membership is current .

Hello All ,we have moved our downwind paddle to Saturday ,meeting Patterson lakes at 11 ,boards loaded ,leaving car park at 11 30 .The social crew be paddling back from Gnotuk Avenue ,aspendale which is bout 5 - 7 k ,the racing crew be heading towards mentone or further down the coast .Safety boat on course ,finishers certificate for all ,prizes and medals for social and racing ,BBq and refreshements after paddle .Bring some cash ,your buddy and a great vibe .Many are telling me conditions are good to go for this .Be good to see you there .
