Hi everyone,

Could someone please give me some advice for my JP surf wide Sup 8.8"if repairs are required.

There are 2 separate issues on my board. The first two photos were done a while back.

The second issue where the finger is pointing appears to be a superficial crack. Not sure how that happened. When I press it doesn't go in. Not sure if I should get it repaired or not need some advice on both.

thanks

Hi ,
I would get the one near the nose fixed..... better to be safe than sorry. The other one doesnt look like an issue, but keep an eye on it for any discolouration,

Rub some soapy water over the crack and put it in the sun , if its gone into the foam it will start to bubble in a few seconds. (Hence why it is hard to use solar resins on sups ). If it doesn't bubble, just put a bit of ding tape over it until you really need a repair and get the whole lot touched up . Keep an eye on it to make sure there not running. On the bright side if they do need work, there in a pretty good spot for a easy repair. This is just what I recon and hope all works out

Make ensuring watertightness a priority until repair, if required. Tape can work ok. I've also used a bit of quality rail tape with generous margins, stretched on over super clean surface.
