UPDATE: Connor Baxter WINS the 2016 OluKai Ho’olaule’a, crossing the line just moments ago to defeat Mo Freitas, Matt Nottage, Travis Grant and many more of the world’s best downwind paddlers. Conditions were near perfect on the famous Maliko downwind run for the 8th annual edition of this classic race.

Last year’s runner-up Travis Grant was beaten across the line by compatriot and the new challenger to Connor’s downwind throne, Matt Nottage, however both were beaten by Mo Freitas, who put in a stellar effort to claim runner-up in the elite unlimited division.

Sonni Honscheid claims the women’s title ahead of Kathy Shipman, Terrene Black and Amy Woodward.
