Hey DJ,
HOW do you find the nose shape compared with your Maliko .for down winding
and is the extra width make for a more balanced easier ride.

looks glide it glides nicely .

i have the 11.6 GTW ..on small waves it hard to slow down .

great footage.

Nice DJ.

In my humble opinion the 14' x 29" Glide is the best all round board available for general use.

Particularly for old boys like me. It is stable manageable and performs well in most conditions.

Like its name it gives an amazing Glide on even small swells.

It's a very different nose shape to the Maliko and when it goes under there's no slowing and often not even a splash of water but the idea is to not have it go under so some footwork and anticipation of what's coming is needed.. With the Maliko you feel a slight slowing when the nose goes under and acceleration again once free..

The Maliko accelerates quicker and feels faster but but even though the Glide takes a little longer to get up to speed it seems to carry its speed longer.. It's noticeably more stable even though the 28" wide Maliko is also very stable..

The Glide is also noticeably heavier but feels much stronger and stiffer.. The Maliko is a top end race board.. The Glide is a nice do-it-all flat water/downwind/touring board and will suit most people.

Thanks Dj .sounds like a good one .and all rounder ..I love the GTW Look .and after owing the 11.6
definatly is stronger ,and also enjoy the stiffness .
Im mainly looking at flat water paddling .
would like to go the new Javelin .but at 96 kgs the javelin
Is not ideal .I want bigger than 251 litres ...and at 26 .. Say no more
i believe some changes have been made to the Maliko for 2018 ,might wait to see
what comes out in Aug-sept.or check the new glide .i don't mind the extra kgs for beauty and strength.

in the vid the glide looks as if it really gets a long .

I have a 14x26 Maliko and have had a 14x29 Glide. I wish they made the glide in 26"-27" it would be the perfect board for an old guy like me in most conditions.

The GTW Glide ticks all the box's really.

Yeah, it's never made any sense to me that Naish doesn't sell a 14x27 Glide, especially since for the first few years the 14ft Glides were 27" (and change) wide. Maybe it would be just too good, so would undermine the Javelin range.

Yes.. a 27-28'' Glide would be great.
