Anyone know any details on this?

Hard to say what happened in the video but I can only assume him taking out a few people in the white wash had something to do with it.
I was going to head out this morning, I wish I did now.

moffs is always a pretty hostile break all the prone surfers think they own it so they carry on they need to buy sups put a smile on their faces

Seems to of been removed I dare say he was copping a bit of flack.

It looked like the guy on the sup was using a kayak paddle. So probably just drawing attention to himself as well.

Basically the video starts off with the long boarder saying you can't take every wave. The guy on the sup says he is just calling them as they come. The dude on the longboard paddles close to him so the guy on the sup can't turn and paddle for a wave.

The next minute or so of the video is the dude on the sup catching white wash. It kind looked like it he was paddling it like a kayak. He lost the board in the wash a few times and looked like he took a few people out doing so.

That was it no racist comments, no abuse.

ive surfed Moffat several times over the years and never had any issues. Quite the contrary actually. Everyone was very nice and friendly to me. I'm actually relocating my family to Sunny Coast soon and intend on making Moffs my regular spot so was curious about this incident.

I've never had any issues there either. It seems alot of people think it's a case of first one on the wave gets it. So I can see how some people will get angry.

zeus no one will say anything to u your a big unit bro you will be sweet . i had a guy in the car park telling me they don't like sups cause our boards are so big we get all the waves he was on a 10 foot long board i was on a 7'10 then he told me the paddle catches more water than the hand so it's easier i said i have 1 paddle u got 2 hands and he just walked off

Sounds like a kook who doesn't know etiquette and thinks just cos he can catch waves with his kayak paddle and Bismarck 666 he's entitled to catch em all.
He's now got the humps on, and is not thinking how may have I contributed

You would have to have some "issues" if you are using a paddle like that.

I've surfed Moffs, great place and vibe...just like any place, if your competent, understanding etiquette and are respectful then you get no problems regardless what surf craft you ride.

Great news! J hawk is still one of the best longboard sups I have ridden,they will go very well up there!
