Here is a clip from a session at The Alley during the Cyclone Marcia swell a couple of weeks back. I probably should have gone training in the creek instead but I'm sure a few of you will get a laugh.
Love it.
I was wondering whose board was next to you when you came up.
Sorry about the board, but entertainment value 100%
Nice surfing and great video but not having a happy ending sucks big time .....
" there's a fine line between pleasure and pain"
Glad a few of you enjoyed the novelty factor of seeing her end up as a couple of 6'3s.
I will be taking her down to Jack Knight to see if they can work their magic and at what cost. Will also be looking to get a few extra FCS plugs put it so I can set her up as a thruster and hopefully see how she goes.
Cheers, Lockie
This did really worth a Jimmie Hendrix sound, don't mind if you hit the sky, you hit the beach at least.
Sorry for your loss but was 100% fun benefit for me.
Thanks
Thanks for that ..awesome performance, they seem to surf great for a 12'6. On another point, I always wondered why Lahui Kai had the 3 black stripes, and now I get it....yours will now have 4 black stripes
Mate that's warranty for sure
great video pity the Gopros just don't do the size of the wave and steepness justice. Nice pull in not many people on a 12-6 would try that.
Yeah, so much water movement during that cyclone..sets were about 6-7' and bigger , and thick as. On a 12'6 took some old fashioned guts. At least gopro got the tube ride before the fall. Great footage..glad you didn't loose any teeth or get wacked in the head. Look forward to more on the 12'6.
Good stuff. I have only ever snapped longboards on a shore dump so an easy paddle in ....it is impressive to me how you got both pieces plus your paddle back in from what would have been a long paddle or swim. With equipment failure and probably only a few guys out I reckon the swell would have begun to feel a whole heap bigger.
